Amy and I celebrated our 6th year
wedding anniversary! Not sure how she has put up with me for over 10
years!
Amy and I are now both board members for
the It's My Heart - Boston which is a non-profit organization
created to provide support, spread awareness, educate and advocate
for those affected by Acquired and Congenital Heart Defects by
creating alliances with fellow families, hospitals, support groups
and the community.
As most of you are aware I have grown up
with a heart condition which required me to have open heart surgery
at the age of 7, you can read about it
here if you would like. It will
give you a little background on who I am! As for today I recently
had my last 3 month check up with my cardiologists and they said
everything looks fine. I will not have to go back for another year
which is good because since I was having palpitations and other
issues they placed me on exercise restriction until they figured out
what was actually going on. Needless to say in this year and a half
I was some what depressed and went from 220lbs and 16% BF to 250lbs
and 34% BF. Umm can we say not good. Recently my doctors said I
could return to exercising but low weight high reps! Which is cool
but their definition of low weight is like 50 freaking pounds! I
asked them about trying to compete and they are concerned about the
training. I can understand that. So we will have to see, one step at
a time.
I will be training at night after the Amy and kids
go to bed because it is the only time I can train. On top of being
Mr. Mom, I work 2 jobs, one as a 24/7 job scheduler for the family
business, Nappy Crane Services Inc. and I also started Phenom Labs.
Both of these take most of my time.

We went to our
friend’s 2008 Wacky Tacky Christmas party.

Here is a pic of
myself that my mom took at her house after the USBF Pro/Am this year
in November.
It was about 11pm
and she wanted to get a pic of me before I went home. She knew that
my color
would be gone and my stomach would be bloated by the
next day. lol

It was the night before the spring
show (Spirit of America). I think Steve won his pro card the next
day.
He was mad because we were
chaperoning a prom and we couldn't eat or drink anything there. :-) |

the way to the gym. Mel and James invited me to come visit them in
Pittsburgh and we got in a workout. They always bring their bulldog
to the gym. The owner likes her and actually keeps special toys
behind the counter for the dog to play with. |
