Cathy is a 38 year old IFPA Women's Po Bodybuilder. She lives in Bloomington, Illinois with her husband Corey and daughter Madison (9 years old).

Cathy began lifting weights during off-season for high school basketball. She's been lifting weights since college (20+ years now!!!).

She thanks her husband Corey for pushing her with heavy lifting. She met Corey through weight lifting and playing tennis in college. They were even married on a tennis court!

Cathy has done bench press competitions for kicks throughout the years. Her personal best was 260 lb. with shirt, and touch and go, and  245 lb. with pause.

She entered first bodybuilding show in June 2004. She entered a local NPC show, placing first in the middleweight division. She had always loved lifting... but, never thought she could do the diet to compete. Six weeks out from the show, she decided, "why not give it a shot".

After her first local show... she wanted to do more. She looked into different natural organizations, and in October of that year she ended up doing back to back INBF and NANBF shows where she won her Pro Cards at both.

At the time... she didn't even know what it meant to have a pro card!

Cathy feels competing in bodybuilding must fit into her life, not consume it. The day that it is no longer fun and manageable... is the day that she will be done with the stage. She plans on hitting the gym forever though!  Cathy looks forward to the day when her daughter Madison can work out with her and Corey.

Cathy's family LOVES vacationing at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They have visited annually for about 12 years now. They are huge Disney fans!

Cathy has taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade prior to the birth of her daughter.  She's currently on hiatus, from teaching, and instead, she now does personal training and nutritional counseling at Gold's Gym in Bloomington. Cathy also feels lucky to instruct her senior citizen's classes at the gym. It's very inspirational! 

Cathy is very thankful to have a supporting and loving family in Corey and Madison. Corey helped her allot with her prep this season and has been a very positive support system. He is her #1 (and only!) training partner.

What an awesome competitor Cathy is... and, one of the most liked competitors I have seen in quite a while. The Natural Physique Forum Message board is always a buzz whenever she's competing. Her physique is pretty much as perfect as it gets. Great combination of size and symmetry. Very aesthetic physique! I haven't yet seen her on stage in person... but, hopefully it won't be for long.
