Chadwick Austin

I was born in Newellton, LA., and yes, I'm a Saints fan. Shortly after we moved to sunny southern California, which is where I grew up. I didn't really get into sports until jr. high, but when I did I was hooked. I was into the norm... football, wrestling, and track. It was wrestling that I excelled at though.

When I finished high school I had a couple of options put before me, but decided to join the U.S. Air Force. One of the best choices I've made as an adult. Going into the military at that time helped me mature at a faster rate, and I was able to pick up a degree along the way. I have been to a lot of places through the military. Eventually I would settle down in Dover, DE. I was away, in and out of the gym. Whenever I just needed some relief, it was there.

Four years ago, while I was living in Atlanta I was invited to the Lee Haney Gym. It had been at least two to three years since the last time I picked up a weight. When I finally got back in there, I never looked back.

Fast forward to November 2006. I attended my first natural show. After watching the show, I felt I could compete. So, I entered one of the first shows in the spring with some friends. I got last place in the novice and last place in the open, but it lit a fire in me that hasn't stopped burning. I went on to do several more shows that year. Then, two shows into the “08" season and it happened... May 10, 2008 at the NYS Liberty State Natural, I got my pro card.

I have competed in shows that Chad has competed in, and seen him on stage a couple of times. There's no bigger natural bodybuilder on stage. He's just plain huge! He's well deserving of his Pro status and will continue to make some noise on the Pro stage as he continues to compete.
